SkyRover Exploiter EX-001, motors, blades and batteries
SkyRover Exploiter EX-001 by Audley Toys...
Audley Toys sold 2 completely different helicopters with the same model number each with 4 different colors schemes, ie EX-001, 2, 3 & 4...
these below are as listed on the box..
EX-001 black & red
EX-002 white & gold
EX-003 white & green
EX-004 white & blue
AudleyToys website only 2 are listed...
EX-S01 black & red
EX-S02 white & blue
on their website to EX-S01, it can be identified by the top rotor being below the flybar.. the EX-001 on AudleyToys web site is now a different helicopter with the flybar above the top rotor and is slightly larger..
short story: if you seach the web for EX-001 SkyRover Exploiter you will get 2 different helicopters..
anyway..... the SkyRover Exploiter is very difficult to find parts for, sold as a toy by walmart it is not intended to be rebuilt.. I got mine while waiting for parts to repair my first v912..if you seach the web for EX-S01 SkyRover Exploiter S you will only find it listed on the AudleyToys web site...
the Exploiter turned out to be a very durable easy to fly heli.. a big plus is that it has an rf transmitter that works outdoors up to about 50+ feet.. I flew it so much I burned out the motors and battery...
the manufacturer may supply a few parts.. must be clear with AudleyToys on which heli you have because the EX-001 they have on their web site is a slightly larger heli...
after intense searching I found the syma s032g's motors are compatible.. with minor adjustments .. the s032g heli is bout the same size, weight and designed to run on the same voltage..
ordered syma s032 motors from tmart.com for $8.24...
Main Motor A B for Syma S032 S032G Helicopter SKU: 14002236
* the connectors, wire lengths and gears are correct... but he wires on the rear motor have to be reversed..
* also the the syma motors are a tiny bit taller, there is a stop tab inside the heli's motor cover that needs to be removed.. no big deal cut off with an exacto..
I ordered the s032 blades as well from tmart.com for $2.60...
Syma S032G Main Blade A B SKU: 14002188
* the syma blades are exactly the same shape but a little bit thinner. the hole needs to be enlarged.. they are stiffer but they work very well and may spin a bit faster..
the battery I also got at tmart.com for $5.99
V929-09 3.7V 500mAh Battery for WLtoys V929/V949/V959 RC Beetle UFO Helicopter SKU: 14002786
* the wltoys battery is just the right size and works very well.. but their is a piece of hard black plastic on the end of the battery that should be carefully removed..
helipal.com has a "Storm" 3.7v 500mah battery for $5.90, it is the right size as well (no black plastic to cut off but you have to pay shipping)
Storm 3.7V 500mAh 20C LiPo Battery Pack
my exploiter is flying like new again.. the syma motors may be a little more powerful..
other syma s032 parts may work.. ebay link ... lots of parts same battery size as the exploiter.........

the antennas are a fairly standard item.. if you find one that will screw in it will most likely work..
here is one on ebay for a syma s032 helicopter on ebay for $4.99...

skyrover exploiter compatable charger
if you use it you will need to take off the canopy and plug in directly to the battery, see the image below, the battery connectors are easy to get too.. this the way that most heli fliers charge their batteries by directly plugging in..
it would be very difficult to find a compatible charger that plugs into the socket on the bottom of the helicopter.. it is not an AC adapter it is specifically a battery charger..
with the wltoys v929 charger you could put a plug on it that would fit the socket on the heli, but it is much easier to just use the standard connectors and plug directly to the battery

skyrover main gear replacement..
I replaced my skyrover main gears with syma s032 gears... no trouble at all.. perfect fit..
1 remove the canopy..
2 disconnect the nose light connector from the circuit board..
3 remove the tail boom stabilizer on one side..
4 remove one side of the outer frame..
5 remove the gear housing cover on one side..
6 then back off the set screw on the bottom gear..
this will release the inner shaft and upper rotor..
7 slide the shaft out just far enough to remove the bottom gear..
8 then remove the upper gear sliding the outer shaft just a little..
there are some really small bearings that could fall out if the shafts are removed too far..
9 install the new upper main gear noticing the slot that lines up with the slot on the outer shaft..
10 install the lower gear on the center shaft while holding the upper rotor in position to align the flat on the shaft with the set screw..
11 finish re-assembling the frame and you are done..
