Hello Gents,

just a short update,
did two sucessfull flights with the Warthog with no bad surprises
The Power from the 2 Vasafans is enough, the only thing i have to do is
a better cooling for the ESCīs.
Here are some short videos from take off and landing https://www.facebook.com/#!/profile....00008294181969
but i hope to video a complete flight soon.

Hi,
today i did the 3. flight and the changes i made working well. The ESCīs didnīt get that hot anymore and my telemetrie system donīt gave a overtemp warning.
This time i made also a longer inverted flight and had to hold a lot of down to fly level, so i think she is still to nose heavy, so i will remove some balance lead and see how it goes next time.
And here for my RC Buddies the links to the short video sequences from take off and landing

Very Nice!! Thanks for sharing.

Could you share some other details:

1. What CG are you using?
2. What is your total weight?
3. Did the flaps require any mixing from the elevator?

Hi Sbritton,
no problem, your welcome,
CG was set to about 110mm, weight is about 15,2 kg or 33,51 lb and i didnīt need any mixing for elevator when using flaps at 40 mm down.
I would prefer for your first flight to set the elevators about 3-5 mm up and then you can trim it out. At my maidenflight after takeoff as i released the elevator she want to go down a bit, so i had to trim a few clicks up to fly level.
I now removed 110 gr. from before 250gr. balance lead and see how it works on next flight.

I picked up a couple of YEP 180's for my A10
I unpacked my model tonight, very happy with it. I'll have to have a good think about the best way of making some inlet ducts.
Thanks for the great photos. You have given me some great ideas

OMG...that sucks. I'm sooooo sorry. I guess the gun dug into the ground and ripped out the front section.

What happened with the gear...was it stuck?

Hi Sbritton,

thank you,
yes, this was the first time it stuck, maybe in combination with the doorvalve that the gear operates.
Itīs fixable but it nervs me that i damaged this nice bird, at a normal tar runway the damage wouldnīt be that much i think and if i had made a belly landing the damage would be more because the pylons at the fuselage had shure destroyed the complete underside.
This plane is not made for a belly landing
