No notification email.

For the past few days, I noticed that I haven't been getting notification email to the thread that I responded to. Even in my own thread, I'm not getting notified, that someone responded to my thread.

What gives?? Is anyone having this problem? Where, when they (I) go a their (my) favorite forum and find out that the thread that you (I) responded already climb up, page after page without you (me), and someone asked you (me) a question but couldn't reply back because Ezone did not send you (me) a notification email?

What gives? Has this happened to you?

Don't use the "quick Reply" but the "reply button" instead.

"quick Reply" does not record you for getting Emails, on any new post.

What Patrick said - if you use the Quick-Reply function then it appears that a Notification email is not sent.

I'd have to also say that not receiving a notification email doesn't actually prevent one from replying to a thread. I've been using the forums for coming up to three years and have never used the email notification function yet I quite often reply to threads.

That makes sense now, because I have been using the quick reply.

When I opened my e-mail this morning, I only have this particular thread in my mail box. Figures, because I've been using the quick reply to all other threads, that I've been replying too.

Thanks guys

It's solved a mistery for me too!!

I have been clicking the 'subscribe to this thread' button to ensure I get a notification of reply, now I think I'll just go back to using the 'post reply' button istead of the quick reply option.

Is there a way to change this so that the quick reply will allow e-mail notification?

I know there are other boards that are basically the same setup as this one that allow it..

Just curious.

Good question Tram.... I kind'a like the QR, rather than the post reply option.

I see in "My RCGroups" the threads Im subscribed to but often people will saying something new there but I wont get an e-mail. I notice this most often if im already subscribed to a particular thread and then I reply to it. Any ideas? Thx

I was thinking, when you recieve an e-mail from rcgroups, what does it say its from? Like something@rcgroups.com, whats the something? I might have accidenly blocked one message so none can come in. Only thing I can think of, anyhelp?

if so goto: File

1) Mail Controls.

2) Gen. Controls *select costomize control for your SN.

3) People and Places, under "block e-mail" option (last option in this window).
In you right hand side, you should see all the people you blocked, unblock "bbadmin@rcgroups.com"....

Do a test and "pm" your own log on name and see if it works

Good luck, and let us know. If it's totally a different problem, from what I think it is. Let us know as well.
