ZTW 10A BEC / UBEC Question

I was considering getting this with a six channel plane. It looks like you have to use the accessory port of the receiver, does this eliminate one of the available channels for your receiver?

Little confusing post. Is this a one unit esc/bec or a esc and a stand alone bec?

If it's the latter, no, just hook it up with a Y harness to one of your other leads, except the esc of course. Won't loose any open channels that way.

Add on: if again it's the later, you may need to remove the center wire from the servo plug for the esc. That would be if the esc has it's own bec built in. That way the two don't end up fighting each other. Just lift up the tab on the plug, slip out the center wire, and cover the wire end with a piece of heat shrink.

Assuming you're talking about this, you can connect it to any spare port or, as Glacier Girl has said, Y-lead it to share a port with any other component.

And if your ESC already has a BEC in it, you need to disable its BEC the way that's been mentioned too.

Sorry to be confusing, the ESC I have has a BEC built in. I have had problems with "brown outs" in the past and was hoping this will solve my problem.

Hopefully it will So just disconnect the ESC's red wire and you're good to go.
