I used SK35-36 1200 motors. 60 amp esc's 11x5 props 3S 5000 battery. One battery powering both motors
Cheers mate.

Fater taking the nose off the Cri Cri, I discovered that the former had broken, not the let had bent. I will reinforce the former with some good ply. The original was only 1/8 th liteply. Both of the models we flew broke the former. Reinforce before yu fly yours.

The manual states that the cg is either 107mm or 73mm! To those of you who have already flown, which is correct? Thank-you

I assembled my Cri Cri and what a nice plane it is. Took it out for a test flight and it flys very well too. I found that the Cri x 2 needed to cover quite a bit of ground before it would rotate during take off. I think this is due to the main gear being so far behind the cg. I am going to insert some 1/8 plywood plates into the bay ahead of the stock gear plate and move the main gear foreward about 2 inches. As mentioned in a previous post I too suffered a broken firewall where the nosegear mounts to the fuselage. I had reinforced the area but it simply broke outside that area ( the weakest link). I am going to make a new firewall and also throw away the stock nosegear . I will replace it with one that has a coil spring at the top to absorb the landing forces.

We found they took of OK. Plenty of power. We use 11x5 props at about 9000 rpm.
We intend to fly them again on Tuesday so weather permitting, I will get a few pics and or videos.
I need to find some lightweight dolls or fluffy toys to fill the huge canopy.

Regards

Just a pet peave of mine so no disrespect to you but I cant stand seeing fluffy toys in scale RC planes. I mean, whats the point of building a fairly scale plane and not finishing the job with a nice panel etc!

I will get around to starting mine ( I just had a baby boy a week ago so busy ! ) but when I do, I will add a panel, Printer interior seats and these pilot busts. I use one in my 25% RV-4 ( a picture of mine is on there website ) and they are SUPER light.

A spare Cowl for HK Cricri if yours is broken ... (as mine)

Hi RCGroup

I got my Cricri last month.

At first flight, i have broken the cowl !!!

HK do not sell the cowl in spare parts.

So i made a mold to make final part with fiberglass+epoxy.

If someone is interested i can now make spare part of this piece and share this work with the RC community.

Here is my website page for this mold

The first picture of this "DIY cowl" will be there to in a few days.

By and regards for everyone.
