Discussion
Biggest Rail Yard west of the Mississippi.

A few pictures over the Roseville Rail Yards. Hazy today so they are not very good.

I don"t know what that is??? It's a mobile home park all the house's are covered with some kind of roof structure, you can see the club house and the pool.

Very nice. I like the one with Folsom Lake in the background best.
The far distance always collects a lot of haze in the path. Still cool.

Yes! I'd say that was a fairly big rail yard. Great shots! As big as it is, you had to get up a little to get it in the picture!

What? Not even close... Roseville handles 30,000 locomotives a year & is 950 acres.

Bailey Yard in Nebraska is 2,850 acres & handles 8,500 locomotives a month...

I wondered about that, I saw that statement some place. Perhaps it should have been "west of the Rockies"?
