Q-500 electric motor
Hi, I'm looking for the electric motor to replace the thundertiger pro on my Q-500.
I have tried the turnigy 35x42 and the 35x48 . They don't crank a 9x6 fast enough
on 4s 2600 pack. The 35x48 with an 8x8 prop preforms like a good 32 ,which leaves much to be desired. They are just not hot enough. I don't want to spend $200.on an entry level pylon racer.
Does anyone know of reasonable outrunner or in runner direct drive that might work with a max 5s cell lipo?

Which KV motor did you try? The 35x42 SK3 comes in 3 different winds. Try the 1250kv. Should be hotter. how many rpm do you want and do you want 4s or 5s?

Hi , I will see if I can find it but I did a conversion on a great planes viper 500 and used a scorpion 3026 1600. Should work for what you would like to do. If you would like to look check in the high performance section for hondaboy 92hatch viper 500.
