Moving right along---- I am outfitting my old Seniorita (3 channel) with a 635 rx -which has an AS3X stabilization system in it
So we will see accelerometer stabilizing and dihedral at work

Had similar results in another 1-26 with much less friction in elevator control. Was flying hands-off stick. This aircraft appears to be dynamically unstable in pitch when loaded near the aft end of the allowable envelope. Makes cloud flying much more challenging as you are always fighting the pitch phugoid with one half of your attention, while controlling the bank angle with the other half.
A related point is that the difference in stick position between a steady-state airspeed of say 40 MIAS vs 60 MIAS is very small. Much larger inputs are typically used to effect a rapid increase in airspeed. Also much larger inputs are needed to compensate for the curving relative wind and hold the angle-of-attack constant as the aircraft is rolled into a banked turn.
