Wow.... he's a lucky guy. And the fact that the pilot hit himself sorta takes the possible sting out of the pilot hitting the spotter.

The later could have easily ended in a court case and lots of money changing hands.

Reading the posts under the video, he mentioned that the elevator was damaged / ripped off when he hit the tree. Easy in hindsight to say, get out of the way, roll right or left, cut the motor, go inverted and let it pull itself into the ground...but yeah easy in hindsight..

Should have used the CA in the toolbox to glue his head back together.. at least get a few more flights in before taking off to hospital.

although in his case, probably would have needed quite a bit of accelerator as well

.......was the camera view from the wing the actual view he had as an FPV pilot me wonders?

Me thinks it is a bad idea to have a view that is half obscured, especially if you are trying to see where your nose is pointing!
