:/ darn. I think I'm going to try the fly in the parking lots/track/field of the high school stadium nearby. People have told me multiple times that they've seen people flying around there.

Those planes are smaller and designed for a 200 size motor, while we use planes designed for a 300 size motor with wingspans in the 28 to 32 inch range. Back when we started doing this the 300 size motor was the smallest cheap brushless available.

We sort of allow run-what-you-brung, then help and encourage/humiliate people to get in the same ballpark with us.

Preferred design criteria -

1. Semi-Scale WW2 fighter with 28 to 32 inch wingspan.

2. 300 size motor, 2 cell 1300 Mah batteries.

3. 5 minute sorties.

Do you allow FPV combatants?

Was by yesterday and saw no sign of recent usage. And plenty of signs of more construction. I did not feel like having the police called on me, so I drove on.

I suspect the Renner Renegade field is dead.

Renner Renegades are still flying at the same location, but mostly with electrics. We still have a small combat group, and are looking for more contestants.

Sure, I would love to see someone try it. The extra equipment on the plane would make it hard to keep up, but it would be fun.
