Would A dx4e Work With A Blade 120sr
dx6i is has alot of features I would never use and I dont want to spend that much. The transmitter that comes in a bnf kit has angled sides wich is not good for a straight line perspective used on the sticks. Would a simple dx4e work well with a 120sr? I just dont want the helicopter to fly away.

The 120SR will bind with any DSM2 transmitter so there shouldn't be a problem. As long as you bind it first the only way it should fly away is under your control.
Personally, I would check your logic on radio selection though. Most people I know who have got into the hobby with a cheap radio have ended up buying a fully programmable one later because you are a bit hand tied when you get into it.
A good quality programmable transmitter will see you through many levels in the hobby and in my opinion is the most important piece of equipment you can buy.
