They made an announcement this morning with a giant 78" T-28 foamy, a micro EDF, and the Ultimate as well.

Very interesting. I may try one of these.

Horizon, please develop some decent 3D servos. I love my Visionaire and PZ Sukhoi, but the servos aren't up to the task. Are these (#EFLR71550) upgraded servos? Or just a analog version of the EFLR7155?

I like the servos mounted in the tail. Very short pushrods. I think an improvement from the VA.

$138 for replacement wing set? Horizon has gone crazy on some of their prices.

The wings are quite swept back on the Ultimate. I haven't flown swept back wings. How does it perform in Harriers and slow flight?

Chuck has a thread in parkflyers about the Ultimate. It seems as if eflite/HH are bringing some of their earlier balsa arf's back from the dead in a bnf package.

Very solid in harriers and slow flight. Also very easy to hover.

The servos are more precise than the 7155.

It's beautiful. The original designer of the Ultimate (full scale) is a close family friend. I'm sure he will be pleased.

This a nice plane. If I got it I could just fly it without the Safe receiver. The AX33 would be find if you could only change the high and low rates from your radio and not something else.

Local Hobby shop is loaded with ARF's RTF's etc. foam eveyware. Small amount of some sig kits. Plus smaller Guillows/ Dumas. I have to say some of foamies are cool but I still build. Working on King Kobra with YS 60 short stroke/ Dubb Jett Muffler. Something nice about building plane the way you want it.

Foam is cool. It gets us to fly planes at less risk of complete destruction, but eventually we all grow into nicer planes that don't melt in the car. There is a lack of park flyer balsa planes. Nothing to graduate into. Just sucks. Balsa flies so much better. Looks nicer.

this Ultamate looks pretty good. I'm just ranting.
