I want to know how visible the critter is in darkness. It looks like the lights are under the surface... how much of the brightness is absorbed?

Some real world reporting would go a long way.

I have not seen this specific aircraft in person, but I have built and seen countless foam aircraft with LEDs embedded in the foam- none are PNP, but the effect of embedded LED lights is stunning. The light is very visible, but you get none of the glare that you see with exposed LEDs

Here is my most recent with embedded lights.

He's right. There are many night flyers with the lights on the inside and it literally makes the whole plane glow. No issues with seeing the plane and it does take some of the harshness off of it with the lights on the inside.

inside is great....had a wing that had the LEDs inside of it, blue core foam too...it lit up the sky just fine.

This looks cool...have to wait for it to hit stateside...summer perhaps.

HobbyKing Daily - HK Flybeam Night Flyer (3 min 31 sec)

Someone needs to write this guy and ask him why he is reviewing this plane in broad daylight

Looks like a good flyer though

I put LEDs in my ultra stick 25e and made the mistake of first doing red on the left and green on the right just like full scale. I quickly learned that on rc you need to know top from bottom, not left from right. Sure you can figure it out, but not quickly enough if you are doing aerobatics.

Ah, I'm glad you asked.

I've just received confirmation that a review sample is indeed on its way. This looks like just too much fun not to review.

So, keep an eye on this space.

You can imbed LEDs faced into the foam on a radian for about $25. It works great. I had mine to over 2300 feet at SEFF and could still see it.

I like the lights embedded on all night fliers these days, it easier on the eye and gets rid of the halo.
