I'm sure the reduced weight has something to do with that.

Video from this last weekend

Video of various models at our flying field ... my A-10 is at the 2:00 minute mark and my FMS T-28 is at the 3:50 mark with my new bomb drop module. It was a great sunny, windless day in Houston!

Had an interesting flight on Saturday. I took off and got about 10 feet off of the ground when I heard a shot from something like a .22 rifle. It was my right fan exploding into MANY pieces. I had always wondered if it would fly well on one motor and it does fine. I got it up to about 30 feet came around and landed with no problems. The right motor was screaming of course with no fan attached to it but so far it seems fine. There was "schrapnel" sticking out of the nacelle. Ordered another fan. Wild ride.

Glad you were able to save your plane! You didn't happen to get any video of that flight, did you? That would have been really interesting to see. Just out of curiosity, was everything stock on your airplane?

No video unfortunately...everything is stock with the black esc's so I can use 4S batteries...4S-30C-2650 NanoTechs...stock fans...retracts.

I got replacement fan from Nitroplanes and put it on this weekend and it flew great again. I have camo paint job but I painted the underside of the wing and horizontal stab solid bright white for contrast and it works great on sunny days...not much difference on cloudy days.

Everyone always looks and watches when they hear those twin edfs spool up

I so want to get another A-10. The dynam A-10 was my 1st EDF. I crashed it on the first flight and after fixing it (rebuilding it) I flew it a few times. Since I have ripped the gear off and cracked the wing. I have a new wing with out gear attachments, but what I really want to do is build a new one. This time use some of the experience I've learned over the last year.
My list of fixes.
1 ESC's behind the fans in the nacelles
2 12 blade change suns with 4s motors
3 better retracts with struts
4 thicker spares for the wings.
5 spare in elevator

add all that up and I'm probably better off getting a different A-10 than Dynam's LOL

Nice thought about putting ESC's behind the motors!
Yes I put CF rods in horizontal stab and along wings because wings really got to flapping with the 4S power.
