Haha. I skipped them also. I use epoxy and left over balsa sawdust from sanding. Mostly because I ran out of microballons a long time ago and never remember to order them and always have sawdust. I use sawdust and epoxy for all sorts of household repairs where a durable wood filler is required.

Need a little help with planning out the servo arrangement . It seems to me that there could be some potential interference with the throttle servo if all servos were placed in the same line. How did you guys handle this?

I'm thinking I might have to relocate the throttle servo 90 degrees, or set one of the other ones higher to avoid any potential interference.

Pictures would be a great help. Thanks.

Glad it worked out. I haven't gotten that far on mine, so some pics would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response EJ. Here is a picture of the arrangement. I had to trim back on the servo arms and use them facing each other for the rudder and elevator to get an appropriate amount of clearance and hopefully a good angle for the pushrods.

I'll be using the Dave Brown fiberglass pushrod system and you will need to install them before covering to get them in, otherwise it could be quite a challenge and you might have to cut the covering . At least that is the way I planned it out as I saw it as a potential issue. I'll post another pic when I get them installed. Hopefully it will go smoothly. Thanks.

As they say "the third time is a charm", that is how many times I had to revise the pushrod dog leg bend to get the right amount of throw on the elevator. I ended up lengthening the quick connect side by about 3/8" from the plan drawing to get it to work. Also ended up using the same dog leg bend on the rudder side, which is totally different than the plans. Elevator throw result is 1-3/8" twice what the plan recommends and almost 2" throw on the rudder. Attached is a picture of the final set up. Hope it helps.
