Nice 1/5 scale Moto GP helmets

Whilst looking for scale riders on ebay, I found these instead.

I think they were made in France and were included with a magazine about the sport.
If you search ebay and the web for 1/5 scale Moto GP helmet or "casque" you'll find them.

With a bit of imagination and modification, I'm sure they'd fit on your riders or perhaps just get one to display with the bike when it's sat on the shelf?

I'm going to buy the Valentino Rossi helmet just because I love that guy!

I have several 1/4 scale Nascar helmets that I bought a good while ago for a similar purpose. They're still sitting on the shelf waiting to be used for something.

I remember them being relatively heavy so I just picked one up to take a look. 2 screws removes the bottom cover and there's a heavy metal plate inside. Once that is removed they aren't too bad. Plastic is rather hard though so I'm not sure how many crashes it would survive.

From some of the videos I've seen, a lot of you guys are so skilled at controlling these bikes around a circuit that crashing isn't really an issue.

Well in any case, these scale helmets are pretty cool anyways..

Nice find man!!!!! Imma have to get me one! Painting the current ones suck. I'm not sure why my paint never sticks onto them.

1/5 Helmets

Hey Guys, I've been using the helmets for a while now and here's what they look like on a modified Rc pilot made of cotton and bendable piano wire. These are for sale $60 each. Helmets alone cost that much.

Thanks, I think it's fair. Wasn't really trying to sell them but thought I'd just put it out there because there were interested parties. Helmet was $50, pilot was $30 and clothing the guy was about $10-$20 in misc stuff. Enjoy the pics

Do you make these regularly? Or just have a few to sell?

The hands look a bit goofy but could be heated up to grip the bars I guess...

The rest looks really cool!

I'll buy one right now because as you say, the helmet alone is like $50!

Yea the hands are awkward. I tried balling them up to make a fist but it didn't work.
My LHS that sold the pilots has since closed and I have these left over. Sold all the bikes separately.
