DS-20 Hyperion servos with the Beastx

Hi,

does anybody know anything about the frequency and neutral pulse width of Hyperion ds-20fmd and ds-20gmd servos?

Are they copies of other brands?

Thx.

since no one answered, try 1520/333

fly for a minute, check the temp. If the servos are hot drop the 333 to the next one down. Repeat process until the servos are ok to fly with.

for cyclic 200hz

The Hyperions won't like that high a setting, I would start with 165 personally

Hyperion Altas digital servo can accept frame rate from 20Hz to 270Hz. 333Hz frequency too high.

jack (your in luck) ask this man since he has/had one with the beastx. Saves you from testing which setiings works best.

Looks good. Setting it up at low frequency.

Thanks all for the advice.

I run the Hyperion at 200hz on cyclic and 1520/333 on tail for over 300 flights now. The servos can handle it no issue. No reason to run them at a lower rate. Performance is not an issue. I beat on my birds severely.

I really would advice starting low so it won't damage the servos at the very first try. Then just stick with the setting that performs best, without a lot of servo buzzing or chatter and temperature raise. Starting too high can destroy a servo, even when most servos will be compatible with 200hz cyclic and 1520/333hz for tail.

PHMX this is why I suggested him to try the top settings first, because I know that there have been several reports people are using these settings. So to save the man some time at trying out different settings. I thought I'd offer the most commonly used settings. But I did also tell him to check all the servo temps after flying for a minute to make sure the servos are not hot and that they are ok.

I can relate to that, but without firsthand experience I wouldn't put blind fate in a forum post assuming it will work fine when not knowing the actual specs. I am sure we don't have to question every such post you refer to and as such it wasn't really a comment to disagree, but I see things like this go wrong from time to time because people start high instead of low. Starting high can potentially destroy a servo, why would you take such a gamble first when you can start low and keep things working?
Same goes for gyro gains, motor rpm, blade pitch and the list goes on. All I'm saying.

Empire RC should tell you the same settings. Got another 50 flights on these servos not changing a thing. So now I'm at 350 flights no problems. I don't baby my Helis either.
