squall 10" w\s 360° tv

I have been paying with thrust vectoring and wanted a simple delta. This is very simple but flies great. The 360 degree thrust vectoring really helps to set these little jets up. You have control of thrust angels. The yaw works as a rudder and it needs it. She looses roll authority as the speed drops. I used a GP 30 mm motor and rotor cut down to 25 mm. Also a Shapeways 5 stator 25 mm housing. It gets 73 grams of thrust. At 65 grams the little squall moves right out. If anyone is interested I'll post some drawings later. Thanks Sean

Looks awesome au117. When the weather settles down maybe you and pattypilot can make a video. Sounds like it goes both fast and slow thx to the vectored thrust

That Squall looks great. Actually perfect. Have you tried your 25mm fan on 2s and if so what kind of thrust did you get?

I do not have thrust #s on 2 cell. I will get that with the next one I put together. I have the same set up in a F-35 and it does 40 mph on 2 cell and 50 mph 3 cell. That's the same speed I was getting with the stock 30mm but, on 3 cells I was burning motors up. It's working good at 25 mm. I have not burned up a motor yet. I was going to pm you tonight I am interested in your 1 cell set up. I've been doing some testing myself the last couple nights.

au 117 ask away. I wanted to know the thrust cause bim sent me some 20mm shrouds and I can't find any good data on those. I want to build somethiing like a yak 15 which has that incredably small outlet under the wing and I don't want a 30mm and scale the plane up but don't want the weight of a 3s setup to get useable thrust. sorry not meaning to skyjack your thread.

Au117,

The F-35 was a nice intro to your thrust vector setup. This Squall has really got my attention. Will be looking forward to you posting plans. I have a 25mm B.I.M. setup just waiting. Very nice build.
