That airplane looks AWSOME! I just took a peak at the build/design thread on RCU, and it looks like a great .09 airplane. Looks very classy as well. Wouldn't mind building one of those myself. The ply eggshell fuse looks like something different, and can honestly say it's a building technique I've never used before.

Thank you its close enough done in the design phase.
All the hardware, wood is in to start the build, as I go through the details on construction I will be adding more detail to the plans. When content all fits well the full 36" x 42" plan sheets will be avaible.
Good for .074 to .15 engines or elect / 3S 300w.

Cool looking design. Are you going to do a build thread here? If so be sure and post the link so I can subscribe to it.

I'll eagerly be awaiting the finalized plans and airplane. I have both an .09 and a good .10 size electric outrunner here. I'm thinking maybe a dual airplane, with switchable power systems depending on the field or mood?

Lol Andrew true the mystery can last for years and then some not so long. = )

Yes you can use the engine motor mount to retrofit a outrunner for sure. I will be cutting wood this weekend. A key template yet shown on the plans is the side sheet panels for the egg shell fuselage. I have not added in the some aspects of the wing yet either. Will post pics as I go along.

Answers are already discussed in the thread but on quick notes carbon square stock for wing spars / although spruce will work too.
(. O)==::: yep and yep sheeted wings hence the minimal ribs leading edge is laminated with a hardwood for ding protection.

Wall hang with yard stick reference

Cool. I'll move it on over to RCU then and keep up with the build. I'm a member there, but have never posted. Good excuse to now! Before that, a few quick questions; 1.) Are you going to use something more conventional like a hardwood or hard balsa spar arrangement and sheeted wing, or something a little more out of the box like a carbon rod(s) as structural support?

And 2.) I'm assuming you've been asked this before, but judging by your SN, you play guitar too?

It's not mine, but I wish it was. Just giving everyone a heads up that a nice 1/2a Heath Parasol kit is for sale over in the classifieds;

If I had the money, I'd quietly grab it without telling anyone.
