Hi. just got a Champ, my first micro. Looks like alot o fun. Bound it to my dx6i this am and all is good, but the bird makes a constant high pitched buzz or humm; is this normal for these little foam planes?? go ahead and save up for the micro p-51.....after the champ, your gonna want one of these !!

i think i fly my micro p-51's more than my other larger planes

i would 2nd this until i got a hold of t-28. i think the t-28 while similar has slightly better characteristics. on the other hand it seems to be harder to come by used and even then commands a premium whereas i was able to get a p51 new at a show recently that people sell for used price on here.

my champ was caught in a tree pretty fast because of 10mph winds and my inexperience. came down a couple of days later and i carry around a football in my car every since for such emergencies smile.

for the champ if you have no throttle you shouldn't hear much buzzing. you may hear some electronics inside from servo chatter but for humming it may be the throttle slightly up but not enough to move the motor hence the humming type sound. pull the throttle back all the way down and see if it stops.
