North_of_49 is extremely helpful along with many on this thread. We all try to share the same mods, tricks, tips, etc.

Rick, just curious,,..have you gotten a chance to check out your tail rotor blades yet?

Mike.

I have and they are good to go. Since the boom support kit (and DX6 G2), my 120 is solid. I actually set it as a heli in the Tx and use three FM's. 1 is set to 65% D/R with 15% expo and its perfect for very small area flying. Amazing difference. FM 2 is at 80% D/R with 15% expo and really wakes it up for larger areas. FM3 is 100% D/R and 10% expo. Zippy and responsive for outdoors. FM 1 is perfect for landing and T/O.

I couldn't be happier with it ATM. Just wish it was a little bigger/heavier so I could take it outside more.

I never had one of these as when I sarted to fly they were expensive. I bought Solo-pro-328. My friend had 120 SR and flew fine, so did my 328. Anyway looks like this bird is now disc. On HH site as clearance sale item.

I kind of figured the 120SR would be phased out soon. They have done nothing to improve it, but now we have the 180CFX that looks like the upgrade to it.

the 180cfx is a collective pitch heli and is an upgrade to the 130x, not the 120sr.... the only thing they have currently that could be considered an upgrade to the fixed pitch 120sr is the fixed pitch 200x, but its nearly twice as big....

Exactly. That's why, since there is no upgrade in the 120 fp, they have to be considering the 180 the step up. The Blade web site has, "Never has a micro-class heli been made so capable. Never before has it been this easy to get a high-performance 3D heli." Blade has never invested anything into fp helis, really, so this must be what they are looking to push pilots toward. There is so much more control with the cp and you can, of course, fly it scale (without inverted, etc.) which is what the fp heli does, anyway. It makes sense now with AS3X stabilization.

that is just sad. this is a great little heli that flies really nicely. I still like flying mine outside, just kicking back and taking it easy.

I suppose with the move to fbl, and with the missing mSRx, that a v2 fbl version will be coming out. this is a good size training heli.

That would be sweet if they came out with a 120X flybarless Fixed Pitch... the 200X is cool but its too big for backyard flying.....

Agreed. I don't understand why HH doesn't think that the 120-size heli wouldn't sell. It's perfect for yard flying or in a gym.

The heli market is flooded with f/p helis. V912 bl RTF is same price as 120 SR BNF. I know many of us like Brand names but HH isn't going to complete on basic stuff. 200 SR-X is about all there will be from HH. Good heli f/p / dual bl.

I fly mostly Blade and Walkera helis /Quads/ . Look at HH heli site, kind of Baron. Walkera has not made a new heli in years. Both have done alot with hi-ends Quads for FPV geeks. Sorry to say heli boom is over. Yes still popular but market has changed. FWIW Solo-pro 328 flys just as good as 120 SR. This may be moot to most but lader down the road may be another choice. MSR/MSR-X/ Mcp-x V2 all gone..all fine birds.

I still like the Solo Pro 328, but it has it's drawbacks, too. I flies easier if all parts are in order, but with it's Hiller system, there are more parts to get messed up. Bad thing is that this model is basically extinct, too. You can still get the parts lots of places, but the full heli is hard to find. It is on eBay for $99 right now, though.

Yea there are a lot of good helis out there, but for me, and I know I am not the only one, if it wont work with my spektrum transmitter, im not even going to consider it. I have no need for a box full of transmitters like in the bad old days..... I have one transmitter to fly all my planes and helis, and its going to stay that way....

I just crossed it over to fly both with my DX8. It only takes a slight mod to adapt the Blade board.
