Question
Patternship Plane Recommendations

I have about $300 -$400 total I can spend and would like to get into this kind of flying. Can anyone recommend a plane for a first patternship type plane?
Looking for a balsa or composite plane. I plan on using an electric setup.

Sorta depends on your experience and where you have to fly. If you're in Seattle, our indoor season is wrapping up for the barn owls with only a few seconds up in Marysville (Barnowlsnw.org) and start back up in October.

With no real data about the pilot, I might suggest a flat foam 3d ship that you can fly outdoors over the summer in the 120 - 200g weight range say. Fly in the morning or evening when there isun't any wind and get use to flying low and slow. If you're a new pilot, consider EPP, otherwise depron flies better. Get a traditional motor and save up your money for when indoor season arrives.

Fancy Foam comes to mind, but there are several other companies out there too... , http://fancyfoam-com.3dcartstores.co...Kits_c_15.html

Keep posting, been pretty quiet around F3P.

That is a screen name I had when I lived in Washington many years ago. I have been flying a couple of years now.

Looks cool, it probably won't fly too much like an indoor pattern plane... But I've never flown one. I'm sure others have. RED

Just so you know you stumbled into the indoor pattern section. From your question and other post I don't think most here are flying what you are looking for.
