After some initial problems with the motor finally got a little test data.
The only Prop I had that was close to the BP suggested one is the APC 7040SF
7.4 volts, 3.8 Amps, 6870 RPM, 169.6 Grams thrust
10.2 volts, 5.28 Amps, 8160 RPM, 242.8 Grams thrust.
The prop saver screws are "kitty whapus" and interfere with the bell and prevent installing the rubber. The shoulder for the prop mount is 0.45 and doesn't fit any of the APC shaft adapters I have. You can make the 0.375 adapter fit if you install it backwards in the Prop. both motors I have are the same.
I overcame the screw interference by placing longer screws (see Pic's)
Both of the original screws interfere so mounting the rubber by removing one screw is not an option.
I plan on replacing the original screws with set screws and putting in a new shaft that is long enough to use a shaft mounted propsaver or adapter.
The extended shaft idea did not work out. The motor bearings are to close to together, separated by ~ 1/8 inch. This spacing will not allow stable rotation at high RPM with an extended shaft and prop adapter. Both of my motors would break into oscillation and loose thrust on 3S near full throttle.
Overall nice motor, hope BP gets things fixed.
