SCSA 2014 Contest Guideline and Schedule
Hi guys, I know we're a bit far from most of you guys but if you have the chance in 2014 please come on over to one of our many contests!!
We have just published our rules for 2014, of which the english version can be seen here:
The 3 Major contests and the Asia Pacific Open are all held in 100% accordance to FAI F3K rules, but there is a little local flair in our League contests. Our league is now separated into 2 divisions which do not fly against each other. 8 pilots in Expert, always flying against themselves in group C, and the remaining pilots are in Sportsman flying against each other in randomized groups in groups A and B.
Each month the top 2 Sportsman gets promoted to Expert and the lower 2 Experts get demoted to Sportsman.
Experts scores are multiplied by a factor of 1.0 to enter into the yearly leaderboard, and Sportsman scores are multiplied by a factor of 0.8.
Perhaps this may raise some discussions in other places too, we'll be trying it out in 2014 and hopefully this seeded strategy in the league will help SCSA pilots of all skill levels improve faster, and attract more people into the league contests.
