Superb outcome, wingbeat. Dumas should use your plane for product photos.

Beautiful. My son got me a nice bottle of Irish whiskey for X-mas. But truth be told, I'd rather have that Gee Bee.

WOW. Wingbeat, that Gee Bee is incredible! I wish I had your skill in covering with tissue.

Here's my newly completed Biscayne Baby ministick, designed by Dave Linstrum. This is my first indoor FF build, and I'm pretty pleased with it. It weighs in at a pretty hefty 1 gram (minimum weight for ministicks is 0.43 grams ) since I used produce bags as covering and used some heavier balsa for the motor stick than I should have. I've done a few test flights in my living room and it does about two 10' circles on 600 turns of .030. I may replace the fuse with lighter wood later on to improve performance.

Some nice models there, Don. I'm interested in the Mash Up propeller. Viewed from behind, ie, the cockpit, does it rotate CCW? What is the benefit of a prop like that?

I could just tell they were light, without even enlarging the pictures.

It rotates clockwise. It is just a full flaring blade. The prop is the same as I use on my A-6 models as they are both restricted to 6" by the rules.

The Mash Up has a 2 gram min weight requirement. I needed about .15 gr ballast to make weight. The Double Whammy is around 5.5 grams, of which 3 grams is the plastic nose bearing assembly.

Can anyone identifly this model?

Can anyone identify the free flight in the photo. I built it in 1960 from a published plan (from one of the model magazines in 1960) and don't remember the name or source. any help would be appreciated. Its a 1/2 a free flight. Sorry about the quality of the photos. they are photos of photos taken in 1960.

Thanks, John

Tried looking for it on Outerzone but didn't spot anything that matches in all details. (advanced search for 1959 and 1960, and FF and IC tags)

My No-Cal Turbo Stallion is getting closer to being done!

I'm going to try and roll a motor tube.
