Yes, the T-45 comes with attachable gear. Not steerable as there is no rudder. I never installed mine as this plane is really a hand launcher and not only would they look stupid, they just add drag. Since I've learned to never throw anything away, I've saved them for a rainy day.

LOL ! I know. What I found was when I threw out misc parts and pieces, a new build would come along and I'd smack myself in the head for having thrown out something I could have re-used. One little screw, washer, clevis, horn, rod, snap ring, connector, prop adaptor, piece of CF, shrink tube,etc. Saves me some trips to the LHS. Plus, when I bring my tool box to the field, there's always someone asking: " Does anybody have a ....?" I usually have it.

So, I admit I'm a hoarder !

I'm using the Zippy Compact 3S 1000mah 25c in my F16. It fit with no trimming, other than removing the barrier thing in the middle. It's at the rear of he compartment. I needed a few grams in the tail to get 60mm CG. I'm considering adding just a bit more to get 65mm as people here have recommended.

Thx hawk, I will be running my 3s 1000mah packs i use in my f9f....I also have 3s 1300 mah packs anyone using packs this large...and is cg in manual spot on...of coarse i'm not even sure if this plane comes with a manual lol...thanx again for all the great pointers...

I fly mine with 4S 1600 Zippy Compacts ... which are way heavier than stock recc'd. For this size - I have about 25grams added to tail to help bapance out, but note that this does not bring balance back to manuals CoG point .. I am quite a way fwd of that. But she flies fine.
The T45 is actually very tolerant of CoG as long as you do not go REAR of the advised.
I also fly mine with that weight on 3S of 1300 up to 2200 sizes. I make no changes at all to the model.

Note that the manual says clearly that when balanced she should have nose pointing a few degrees DOWN from horizontal when upright ... that is absolutely correct.

Since we're on the topic of cg I'm curious what others have their cg at for their t45s. The manual says 50mm but mine is VERY nose heavy at 50mm. To the point that my cg machine from tower hobbies can't move forward anymore. Anyone find the sweet spot? I use sky lipo 3s 800 mah 40c.

I found the T-45 to fly well a little nose heavy.Rather have it that way than the alternative.

I need the CG for the F-9 , AMX, and T-33 please.

Hi Larry,

There is another thread in this same sub-forum with the cg for all these 50mm planes. I forget the exact thread title, but it is something about "CG of 50mm skyangle... something something" so it is pretty easy to find. (Except now I can't find it?!?)

Have fun with all those. I have the T-33 and it flys really well and looks great in the sky! (That one is a little hard to launch though.)
