Drilling Stainless Steel is quite easy, as steel goes SS is quite soft.

It is not so much that drilling SS is hard but it is a bit tricky to cross drill small diameter tubing without the proper tools. I was not at my home shop when I did this and only had a "V" block and drill press. A standard drill bit would contact the top of the round surface and start to walk off to one side. A center drill to get started would have cured that problem. I ended up fileing a small flat on the tube to give the drill someplace to start straight.

Broke prop shaft today.. Are all prop shafts compatible with each other it has to be 4mm shaft for a 3536 motor damn got the landing wrong something i never do .

Probably just a weak or flawed shaft.

But on the positive side, it might have been like a shear pin and saved even worse damage. Always a positive side.

Some crossover but often they are specific for your motor.

Got some GREAT flying in this weekend with my FunCub at our cabin on Lake Margrethe in Grayling, MI. What a great airframe, I have the recommended power system and was actually getting 30min flights with my my nano-tech 3300mah packs! My original APC 13x4 prop broke when the tip caught a rock on shore.....so I switched to an APC 13x6.5, I couldn't notice any difference, but I was only doing slow lazy flying all weekend. Here's a couple pics my girlfriend took with her phone, I thought they turned out pretty cool. Ill try to post the videos shortly.

FunCub Battery Rack

Hey I would like to introduce You my Battery Rack for the fun cub. When i made the first flights i was so surprised about the fantastic flying behavior of that plane.
The only thing which made me crazy was the handling of the battery exchange.

Thats´s why I developed the battery rack, which makes the battery exchange so easy and so fast.

How not to give start help, when the glider is stuck in the high grass

RC glider towing, start help. (0 min 24 sec)

Due to heigh grass and soft ground + the small wheel at the 4 meter glider, the Funcup needed a little start help.

Imagine him walking into the hospital with a 4 meter glider stuck where the sun dont shine.

Normal procedure is that the helper runs to the side, but when he saw the camera he got the stupid idea to throw himself to the ground.
Fortunately, the glider took off at the last second.
And he promised never to do that again.

You have plans?

When you paint the Funcub, is it necessary to mask any parts to be glued with the CA, or will the CA penitrate the Krylon Short Cut paint well enough to get a good solid joint?
