Have done the modifications to the controls.
Before CG @ 98mm : Fuselage with supplied pushrods : 653g
pushrods as fitted 39.68g
After CG @ 98mm : Fuselage with teflon tubes & carbon rods : 594 g
Weight saving 59 g
Has certainly tidied up the nose a bit :-)
I haven`t flown it yet so I dont know if there will are real time dramatic improvements but every little bit should help ..
I will get around to weighing the whole model sometime
Ian

Thanks for the report, Ian.
I'm happy to know that it saved you that much weight.
Its weight that didn't really enhance the model in any way; provided that the pushrod tubes stay glued securely to the fuse sides, you may even notice BETTER tail precision from the plane.

Hi all,
After one year of use, what is your feeling about the Toba?
What are your settings?
Personally, after the V-Tail rigidified it goes much better.

In flight it gets complicated! I feel the Toba like ballast. Unfortunately it is too soft. Its flight envelope is very reduced!

I just stiffen the fins. I'll let you know after my next flight.

See you soon

JB-
What did you do to make the V-tails more stiff?

Hello,
I placed a balsa reinforcement under the lip of waterproofing. I did the same thing on the ailerons. Winning is important but not absolute. The rudders are still a little soft.
My biggest problem concerns the rigidity of the fuselage.

I think it is a good glider but too soft to show what it is capable.

Hi,
I just made a flight this morning with the changes. It is incomparable! The glider is much more accurate trajectories and also more reactive. I loved it!
