@ Hasse nice find I was so focused on the AT24/44 that I didn't search to much for the 328 after I saw prices in between 2.5 and 3.5$/pcs. Thank you.

Sorry just checked again and I was looking for the ATMEGA328P-MMH(R)those are the VQFN type 4x4mm and are pricier. But ATMEGA328P-MU will do fine, only 5x5mm.

F* boards are ordered and it just struck me, I didn't put any via under the A3901... It'll will be a challenge to solder without any escape path for the solder.

Seems like you talk from experience

I would need to be surgical, because there is a R+ led on the other side. Anyway, I'll just put less solder on the pad and see what comes.

QFN chip pins extend also outside , so you can use a pointed tip and a soldering station

Did I stupid thing today, was on osh stencils and the price seemed right, so said to self, lets order some stencils... at checkout it was 17$ for them with a jig, guess what instead of hitting cancel, I just gone trough with it.

And I'm like, blablabla AT328 are to expensive blablabla, some days I would slap myself...

You pay so much money for not so necessary things and count the "nickels" for an Atmega328.
I don't use any stencils only a sharp toothpick and magnifier...If going too much solder there is always solder wick.
