LEG Hellcat

Hi all,
I have been carving and sanding the fuse for my LEG Hellcat I think I have the basic shape pretty good. I think it still need some final sanding. I think it needs more removed from the sides just in front of the tail. It looks to wide to me and the fuse does not looked tapered enough. It also looks to me to need more rounding on the nose. This is my first scale foamy I have built a Moth and an Eraser. I want to get the shape right. Comments?

Bob

Looking good Doc. Looks like it could use a bit more rounding off all the way around. Sure makes a mess, doesn't it?!?

Thanks,
It sure does makes a mess. I swept up a pile that looked almost as big as the fuse itself. LOL
Yea, It starts looking real good in your hands while your working on it. But then I take a few pictures and really start looking at them and all the little spots that need more work start showing up.
I was kind of hoping it was the typicle picture thing, you know, how a camera always adds ten or more pounds. But after looking again at the fuse it needs some more carving. Oh well back to the knife and sandpaper.

Its getting there. Just needs to be a bit rounder. Just sand easy as you get close to finishing and you wont tear out the foam cells.

I should have moved here earlier! About the only thing I miss is my flying buddies. Its quiet, peaceful, and the flying isnt bad. Lake Wilsons main site produces great lift on south winds and Kansas translates to "south wind".
