Gee that's a nice photo! You need to put some names to faces so know who's who!

Seems to me that I made a good decision to order a Willow . Can't wait to get the racer...

Well finally got to maiden my Willow F3F today at Mt Hollowback. Wind was an average 8 knts gusting to about 12 knts. First launch and it only required a few clicks of down. Felt very solid in the air and was a real pleasure to fly. Very smooth, carried energy (well what I could get in light winds) well, rolled very nicely with the ailerons and flaps coupled and was a dream to land. Really couldnt ask for any better (well maybe an extra 5 knts or so )

CG was at 103mm and with the one dive test I did, it held its line just nicely with no tendency to tuck or pull out.

My willow has now had 2012 summer flying most weekends the first flight is on YouTube and was a bit shaky as i was getting the know the willow. The finish is good but not as good as the best on the market. I have had a few bad landing and the Sky model has proven strong. I did land with the flaps out and broke both flap attachment points but this was an easy fix.
I have flown in 35 mph wind and full ballast with max speed in a dive and then hard pull-out with no problems. I have got lots of photos but can’t up load from this PC

If anyone is interested, HERE is a nice deal on Willow.

Have you seen this video? It's quite cool.

Take care,

Willow on Top of RaceM. With that pedigree, no wonder it flies like a dream.

The swept plan form of the wing was a good way of ensuring the weight was kept down at the tips but the boom is longer than the race M in proportion to the span. But that's getting a bit detailed- it works

After 11 years of F3F my willow took me finally bellow the 40 second mark a couple of weeks ago. It's definatly held back by my thumbs.

I'd like a super heavy layup Willow with a bigger joiner for DS. I love flying the Willow generally, but I am particularly impressed that it's an exceptional fun DSer for acros, inverted, etc. Mine has done 174mph I think but a more solid version would blast past 200 no problems.
