stock firmware works out of the box but er9x dont. requires all kinds of calibration and fiddling to get same functionality as stock. if they fixed the defaults and spent as much time finishng docs as adding features it would be much better. unfortunately software engineers sometimes cant see the forest for the trees.

Me too but there are also lots of people who prefer the command line over GUI on Linux because it it so much easier and faster than the windows imitation. Tell that to Joe Average who has hands full tuning the channels on his new TV.

The stock fw of the 9x is indeed damn hard to understand.

Was there any info regarding receivers? Because we haven't seen dsmx receivers from hobbyking, right?

What I'm missing and which would've been great was if there was a third or fourth joystick placed on the rear of the radio to be controlled by the index fingers. I've made such a modification myself on the T9X but only for the left hand.

Anthony Hand has said DSMX recievers are coming but didn't mention a timeline.

You will be able to mount this anywhere you want and add a joystick, a button, and another 3 position switch, while adding another 4 channels to your radio. Genius.

Yeah but it would IMO have been nicer to have it already on the radio.

Such a specific feature might be asking a bit too much for a $50 mass-market radio

What, it's only a cheap two axis stick already available. What is the big expense?
