Yes, indeed. I'd love to see some close up pictures...

Sounds powerful.

Although 2 min flight time seems short.

I just hope they allow for Spektrum transmitters and have better servos than the ones in the Blade nano cp x which need to be cleaned every 70 flights or so to keep them from causing the shakes.

The great 3D performance will certainly satisfy a lot of people. I also hope they test it at much lower headspeeds for those that like slower, tamer, sport, precision flying. The lower headspeed can help a lot with crash damage, less wear and tear, and longer flight times.

Oh boy another $200.00 + heli to compete with V120D02s/ Blade 130X big deal. My T-Rex 100X is total bust as kills batteries in no time. I'm sure good for right people.

I think this is much closer to the mCPX BL than the V120D20S or 130X, right down to the tail wag at the beginning of the video. With the mCPX BL, the lower the head speed, the more server the tail wag and is therefore unlikely to be a good sports flier. The mCPX BL lures people away from both the V120D20S and 130X because of increased durability and low maintenance. The only question left is how big it actually is.

A couple things "smells fishy":
  • If there's a video of someone flying it, then why bother posting a computer generated "animated" diagram? Where's the real photo?

  • The diagram shows a Tail Motor, AND what appears to be a Tail Servo behind the Canopy. Why would a Tail Motor need a Tail Servo?

Maybe whoever created the diagram, "Cut and Pasted" too quickly, and didn't think it out enough?

That image is from a few months ago

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1876407

So it might not be entirely accurate

However, it does seem similar to the video, although it's hard to tell
- the does appear to be either a gyro or servo there
- but I can't tell if it has a tail motor

Yeah, that image gave me a bad deja vu flashback.

A couple years ago, shortly after Walkera (and Blade?) released their first 100 sized FBL CP's, someone created a "competing" SoloPro? (or Align?) 100-sized thread. That thread started out like this thread (although I don't think it started with a flight video), with posts of vague computer generated diagrams. If I remember correctly, it took about a year longer before it was finally available for sale, then once people purchased it, they didn't seem to be impressed anymore. I think that thread may have had more pre-sale posts than after sale posts.

The reason for my above post, was as a reminder (to myself?) not to hold my breath, waiting for the product. Based on past forum experiences, it appears that diagrams are much easier to create than the actual product.

Easier said than done

I do hope the Align 150 CP is real, and does come to the market fast, because I'm a firm believer competition is what drives performance and price improvements. Although both Blade and Walkera have improved their products and pricing over the years, I still think they both have room to improve.

Watched the video, didn't see a damn thing. OK, it does 3D. Would like to see it close up or even just fly slowly. With the MCPX BL, don't see the point. It did sound quite powerful however.
