Are there any kits for the US1M? If so what are your opinions on them? I found one, MK3. Does anyone have any experience with it?

No full kits that I know about. Stevens aero has laser cut frames for the hull 16 and hull 16 lite. Will at tippecanoe boats bought the molds from bob sterne to make the venom. Not sure it is production yet. Ken Bauser makes a nice us1m, but I think he only sells as a complete boat.

Checked the site, no info on the venom, but Will Lesh has the molds from Bob Sterne and according to the rumors he is working on them .... so anytime now I guess.

There are no real "complete Kits" for the USOM, it's a real "builders class" lots of custom and home build boats, with no two identical boats.
The easiest thing would be to buy a used one, or build you're own.

I notice now that you are in Needham MA. If you really want a USOM, you are in luck, you are really close to one of the best model sailing clubs in the nation. Contact the MMYC, or Jim Linville, the USOM class secretary, they will be able to help you out finding a used boat or molding a new one for you or helping you build one, or giving you the best advice. .... They sail at Rosemary's lake or Needham Reservoir.
