Seems a lot more people are using helium balloons these days to get to really high altitudes. I recently read of a guy in south australia getting to 80,000 but his camera was getting condensation on the lens. A school in the UK sent a teddy bear in a space suit to 100,000ft. Also a school in the USA but can't remember where I saw the article.

I reckon this would be so cool to try out. Apparently you need CASA permission.

I think it's impressive it was found only 50 miles away considering all the layers of winds it went through.......yeah, and searching for it in a suit

Yeah, I was suprised about that as well. I would just assume that I wouldn't get the thing back, lucky if I did. 50mile isn't that far at all

It may as well be a world away if it goes 50 miles east of me, and I assume you!

He's a Pom! Mate, they'd wear a suit in the shower if they could dry it quick enough afterwards.

Regrettably, mine is a hot-air balloon, which won't work for high altitudes

Hot glue and some helium, and we could fix that!
I wonder if you can buy weather balloons?
