Sorcerer

The Sorcerer was designed by Charlie Parker of Parker R/C Planes, and first appeared as a construction article in the August 1980 RCM,and was reviewed again,as a kit in the April 1981 RCM. The plan is still available from RCM

Hi Bob,
I know this is an old post of yours but I though I would
try anyway.
I designed it, what would you like to know if anything?
Regards,
Charlie Parker

Just out of sheer curiosity, what do you get for each plan sold? Commission, fixed fee, nothing, or what?

Nothing. RCM gets it all.

I'll bet it has a heck of a treat at the time though... having your framed up bird in a national magazine. Seeing the occasional photo come back.

But I imagine it's pretty rough being in that business nowadays...

Sorry to bump this again, but I found one online that is brand new in the original box, still in the plastic and entirely untouched. How much should I be looking to pay for something like this?

I have the RCM plan and a copy of the original article from the magazine. I've decided to build a Gentle Lady instead. I will give these to whoever wants to pay $10.00 for handling and mailing.

Dear Mr. Parker,

Although this post is very old, I just had to write to you about this model. I owned and had built The Sorcerer. It was magnificent in flight. We flew it at the KRC electric fest in 1989 (apx.) I will never forget that beautiful plane in gleaming black with fluorescent stripping on the top surface of the wing. Tom Hunt loved that thing and flew it. The plane had an Astroflight 15 motor with 8 small nicads. It was a real climber at initial speed but required almost full up elevator after power off flight. Perhaps it was too nose heavy? Unfortunately we lost the model during a take off accident one day. I would like to track down some plans for it some day and will hunt for some pictures if I can find it .

Take Care,

Ron Torrito

There are some useful build pics here: https://plus.google.com/photos/11207...wa&gpsrc=pwrd1

The model has winglets and ailerons added.
