In my Stryker I use a Turnigy Plush 60 Amp controller and in my FunJet I use a clone/re-package of the aforementioned. Both controllers are holding up to the currents I have been driving through them so far. Again, I use a 60 Amp for both the 2350 K/V and 3700 K/V motor setups.

THEY'RE HERE!!!!

Finally, some 45-90C power for the budget minded.

3S 2650mah and 3S 4000mah available right now, but expect some 2S, 4S and 6S packs real quick in the same mah cells.

Ender707 and TheKid, since you guys took the hit by buying the 40C packs to usher in the 45C, I guess I'll have to sacrifice and get a couple of these to test out and see if they're up to snuff.

Looks like they are already adding more sizes/cell counts:

A real good motor will spin about 27,000 - 27,500 @ that power level

Bought one of these last week. Nosed it on launch on the first flight and broke the nose off. Replaced the the double-sided sticky tape with ND magnets.

Tried flying it again today but used pizza-box launch technique and was successful. Wow, what a cool plane. Parkzone makes such cool stuff. This and the T-28 are awesome products. I'm really tempted to get a Habu.

Very cool!! The 3300mah have pretty comparable dimensions to my 3000-40C (44x24 compared to 43x23). The 4000mah have strange dimensions (62mm wide?!?) but I sure that is a misprint as the 4s-4000 are 49mm wide.

But they're relatively much more expensive!! 38 dollars for a 3300-3s, while a 40C-3000 is mode like 27 dollars (maybe slightly less?). But it could be worth it! For my birthday i'll probably get a couple just to try! It'd be great if they came out with some 45C-2200mah for my Siren!

I literally just placed an order from HC yesterday night! Its a good thing these weren't in yet, as I likely wouldn't have been able to resist!

Good find Murdnunoc!

Eagletree has VERY good customer support from my experience. Go to their website and open up a support ticket. It's worth a shot as you may get a new logger out of it...

Got to watch one thing I just noticed. There are some 35C and some 45C mixed in here. Looks like just going for the Nano-Tech doesn't automatically mean 45C. Safe bet is to click the 45C tab on the battery menu to the left of the main page.

Saved by death spiral???

Well it happened folks, as best as I can tell, last night I had a "signal lockout" with my Spektrum DX6i and AR6200 receiver. The funny thing was, I caught it all on video, since I had velcroed one of those ~$10 Ebay key chain video cameras to the nose of my Stryker. I made a very high climb with it and I cut the power, rolled over and then it was lights-out from there. It was all caught on video! The plane went into about a 50-60 degree dive with a slow left roll and about 1/2 throttle and there wasn't a bloody thing I could do about it. The video captured from the nose showed the ground come rushing up. About 15-20 feet above the ground the plane went into immediate uncontrolled flight. I am thinking that I finally re-locked with the receiver and my command inputs were too aggressive. Bottom-line, the plane made a nice belly flop landing on the ground and essentially, NOTHING was broken!!! I went home and removed the make shift rudders I added to the plane with bare bones stock vertical stabilizers, removed both rudder servos and she is ready to go again!

The key chain video camera proved its worth as it provided me "telemetry" data onboard that helped me try and solve the loss of control of the plane. I kept playing that part of the video over to see what had happened onboard and what I was doing on the transmitter

I hate to dig up old stuff but i want to discuss the advantage of rotor/stator diameter with regards to "spooling up" and potential to spin larger diameter props.

Most 4 pole inrunners have smaller diameter rotors and smaller inner diameter stators @ somewhere around 14mm and 15.5mm respectively, 6 pole inrunners have 16mm rotors and 17.5 stators respectively.

Keep this in mind when you read this post by our friend Mopar and draw your own conclusions. I know the kv was different on both motors but if we got a hold of a NEU 1110 1.5y we could do a ARC to Neu to MEGA head to head to head data comp.

1133 watts............................................. ........1299 watts
2306 mAH out of battery....................................2390 mAH out of battery

**NOTE**
Both of these flights (MEGA and ARC) required me to hit the stops on the right stick. The stock elevons and NO carbon fiber caused this Stryker to corkscrew and flutter. There wasnt enough stiffness to get to top speeds and see about unloading. I would need wooden trailing edge, elevons, and some CF before I try the same test again.

Draw your own conclusions
Here is mine...................
1. The ARC (135 f) was heating up ALOT more than the MEGA (80 f) (FLUKE IR temp gun)
2. I believe (based on motor temps and rpm performance) that the ARC was at its limit. There is no way to prop up to a 6x5.5 E without worrying about motor failure. Not the same case with the MEGA
3. MEGA was louder
4. Both motors flew just about identically, I couldnt really see much of a difference, except that the MEGA spooled up faster when nailed compared to the ARC spooling up when nailed, and the ARC had to land much sooner than the MEGA did.
