Hey guys,

I'm looking for the most powerful (less than 110g) motor for the 48" EPP SBach from Twisted Hobby made by RCFactory which weighs around 29-31oz RTF, similar to the 40" 3DHS planes. The three choices I'm debating are the Hacker A30-16M v2, Motrolfly 2810-1000, Omega 103g though I'm open to other options too. I will be running the plane on 12x6 as 13x6.5 is slightly stretching chipping props for clearance. Will be running on high output Gens Ace 2200 3s.

Right now I think the Hacker A30-16M v2 is my top pick because it's only 104g in real weight tests, and puts out a theoretical 480W on 12x6. A few have recommended I go with the Motrolfly 2810-1000 over the Hacker. In theory the Omega and Motrolfly put out significantly less power than the Hacker (under ~400W on 12x6 vs 480W it seems), and the Omega doesn't have the build quality of the other two. A custom rewind of the 2810-1000 to 1050-1100kv might be the ticket as well.

If anyone can post or PM me watt readings, or give feedback between them I'd really really appreciate it!

Guys in my club are running the Extreme Flight 2818 in that plane, which is a little gem of a motor. Lots of power and runs like a swiss watch.

The 2818 is a great motor but with the wrong kv for that prop on 3s.

Ya I agree. I think a custom rewind on the 2810-1000kv Motrolfly is the way to go, or else just run the 12x6 Xoar woodie on the stock 1000kv wind for the extra watts. I think the Hacker may be my second pick now, as I keep hearing people disappointed with them in general which suprised me, but I've never owned one.


Any other opinions anyone?

More importantly if you do not get WATT readings from the same person using the same battery and prop your info will not be accurate, by large margins.

Different meters, locations and battery's will give readings substantially different.+ the manufactures lie.
