I wonder how much is typical weight difference between painted st and "naked" carbon st? Othwise structure is same, I believe?? I am thinking of bare wing.

BTW This weight is with normal elevator, not the light rochacell elevators?

It was a treat watching Tom Kiesling repeatedly speck out the MkII from hand launches today at Poway.

On one particular flight I happened to be standing immediately below his glider while he circled patiently at ten to twelve feet high before finally getting away and specking out. The glider was almost low enough to jump up and grab as it went by on each circle. Cool.

My Xplorer2 weighed in at; fuse 335 grams
el 55 "
center 540 "
rtip 250 "
ltip 245 "
hardware 90
1515 grams = 53.44oz and it is all red and white.

ok maybe not great but here are some shots from todays fun fly \ contest -

I flew the X 2 for some of the active rounds and the 4.0 for some of the others.

The X 2 launches really nice! and the speed range is way different - also the speed retention is vastly improved.

I did nto have my landing mode dialed in but still put the nose on the fai 100 mark 3 times in 8 rounds with the rest of the rounds being 99 - 98 and 97 points from what I remember. I got skunked in really bad air today and I was not the only one - several guys simply could nto find anything to get them 10 minutes.

We had everything out there at one point this weekend - Carbon Supras - PIke Perfection - Maxa 3.5 - X2 - Agida - everythign but the prestige !

IS that AUW or without servos ?

no servos or linkage, battery, receiver or wiring.

Xp1 has the feeling of thermal camber built into the profile. How does Xp2 feel?

Wondering if I want a 3.5 or 3.8 in the new X2 ? I have a 3.8 full carbon X tail. maybe 3.5 v tail X2

I think a lot of that is the angle of the photo but the joiners of the new bird do have a larger angle as well- before answering I pulled my early run 35. st joiner and compared it to this one on my bench. The new one is about 1.25 higher angle.

circling is sweet on this plane and I had a comment from the pits immediately from Jim F in our club.

Any chance of a photo of the centre panel / tip panel wing section ? I'm interested in comparing it to the Supra Drela sections.

Are the flaps/ailerons threaded, or do the horns glue in?
