3drankin creations!!

Hi all, decided that i would create a thread for these quality airframes that 3drankin designs and developes himself for assorted umx's.

Here is a few pictures of mine that i have built.

Post here if you also use one of his airframes, pictures, info, setup help anything welcome as long as it pertains to these airframes

They are very well made and high quality, without them i wouldnt be able to keep my umx's running especially the as3xtra!

Make sure to check out his ebay webstore under the name 3drankin205 or search as3xtra on ebay and youll see his replacement airframes pop up in the results.

Do the kits contain the carbon fiber? You may want to suggest to 3DRankin that he include kit contents on his ebay store.

-The standard as3xtra airframe includes nothing but foam because its all perfectly transfered from the stock milled out airframe

- the depron aero version of that includes 2 carbon rods one longer then the other for elevator/rudder because the rx brick is moved forward more because of the weight difference

-The bigger airframe for the 2cell umx setups he no longer makes

- as for the 4-site idk exact details but can get in contact with him for detailed info, maybe he will even post in here for quicker info

Other then that all of the carbon bracing and extra foam is all custom done by me

Thank you for bringing this up. The kits i offer will require the hardware kit from the umx as3xtra. Part number EFLU5153

4_Site depron aero foam

Well I finally got some time and weather to try out the new 4_Site from 3drankin. It is my first bipe so wasn't sure what to expect. Now I know why biplanes are so often used in 3D. I put an AS3Xtra brick in it to help me out and Wow! It seems even more agile than the AS3Xtra. I have only had a few minutes on it but think I will be spending a lot of time with it

Looks sweet!

Thats what im buying next after this new depron aero frame goes out lol

Carbon fiber work is all my own and rtf weight with battery is 38 grams, a lil heavy but airframe is as stiff as it gets now so will wip around nice and crispy like lol

Just waiting on my charge harness to come in, also from 3drankins ebay store

I guess you are in no hurry. My first airframe is still going strong and I am learning 3D with it and flying it several days a week
