Revolectrix "HV" LiPos

With the new Revolectrix "HV" LiPos coming out, currently 4.27V/cell and soon to be 4.4V/cell, is FMA going to provide support in the form of standard presets or perhaps a firmware update that shows **Confirm HV LiPo**?
.
I understand the danger of charging a normal LiPo on an HV setting.

No problem. I just received a set of these batts and I'll go ahead and make a manual preset for them. I was just hoping for something official from the big guys.
.
Like **Confirm HV LiPo** or something like that . .

Last I asked REVOJohn the word was there is currently no plan for an official preset as part of CCS. Wouldn't hurt them to offer one for download on the sales page though if you ask me.

They're probably worried about someone charging a normal LiPo on an HV setting .

How do you set 4.27 volts on Cellpro 10XP?

I just ordered 2 of the high voltage (4.27) 6S 5500 mAh packs.
I can find no way to program my Cellpro 10XP to fully charge my new batteries.
The menu only allows charging up to 4.22 volts per cell.

Is there some trick I am missing?
Is there going to be a firmware update to allow fully charging the new packs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

A firmware update is required. FMA is aware of this issue. No ETA has been provided at this time.

I'm going to guess though that it's no different then a normal lipo in that charging ~0.05v under the normal is only a few mah difference and won't make much if any of a difference in flight time.

Grimbeaver....Thanks for the reply.
I suppose you are correct. I wasn't planning to charge the new batteries to 4.27 volts per cell anyway. I tend to baby my new batteries with the hope that they will last a bit longer.

Hi Gregor99, any date when the new firmware will be released? HobbyKing.com released their new lipo hv (4.35v) and I'm not able to charge them on cellpro 10xp beacause it don't allow me to make a manual profile.

jairbj.............i'd be wary of 4.35V. I believe that actual chemistry is not stable enough to get to 4.35 safely.

Ok John, I agree with you, but only I wanted to say that you don't have a firmware for cellpro 10xp that make me possible to adjust voltage per cell I want.

I can't charge neighter your HV Lipos.

Helo John, i must disagree with the wary of 4,35V with actual chemistry. There are more than a year on the market an industrial grade "HV" Li-ion cells based on NCA nad NMC chemistry. These are mostly industrial cells 18650 size like 11-12Whr Samsung ICR18650-32A, LG ICR18650 D1 and LG ICR18650 E1.

I have no illusion about Hobbyking LCO "HV" chemistry in terms of cyclic life or incredible power, but I am sure that they are safe (as much as highpower pouch LCO chemistry can be ) if you charge them to 4,35V with any better charger.

So I belongs to the row of waiting for 4,35V charging option update in the CCS for PL8, Thx
