that's very neat. And the molded foam makes the corrugated skin possible.
I'd rather have a camoflage luftwaffe version, however.

If I remember right, this plane was originally "Iron Annie" found, restored and flown by Martin Caiden. I have his book; the plane was OD with bright yellow cowlings. Wonderful read, lots of pictures, now out of print.

The toilet was at the back and had no holding tank; everything just fell right on out. The acid in urine made replacement of the lower rear fuse MANDATORY every few months. I saw it fly in Houston once.

I hope you weren't watching from the rear.

Don't! It tip stalls like a bugger. There are a few mods like adding weight to the nose. All in all I can't recommend it.

I found and read the book by Martin "Iron Annie" in our local library. It was very interesting. I think he has passed away now and the airplane was purchased by Lufthansa and restored back to a prewar airliner and is still flown by Lufthansa. I may even remember some pictures of it flying in formation with one of their new Airbus aircraft. One flying as fast as it can go and the other trying to keep from stalling. Anyway, I would highly recommend the book.

Some years ago I was invited by Lufthansa to take a spin in it over Westchester, NY. It is amazingly slow but quite impressive.

Corrugated finish is impressive for EPO foam. Looks like it fly's really well in the video, and very slow and scale too, no sign of tipstall. I might buy one, but can you give more info on the above?

Its an interesting subject that caught my attention as I get back into flying after a long absence but I couldn't accept Hobby King's version with that huge prop on the nose. Am glad to see someone has already converted one over to 3 motors & posted a tutorial on HK's site:

Am getting one to repaint in a Luftwaffe scheme.

It is asking to be modded to 3 motors, thanks for the link.
However the single motor setup is a great option for those who want to keep it simple or while learning it's flying characteristics (although it looks to handle quite well.)

Post some pics when you're done, I'd like to see the Luftwaffe scheme.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I've finally started my re-paint in Luftwaffe colours. The corrugations make painting the markings a pain but it looks the part now. I don't know whether to add the top gun or not yet.

That is a tough one! It came out very nice.
Would it be possible to make a decal conform to the corrugated foam?

scaling the detail alone would be a pain in the backside, let alone getting it down nicely on the corrugations!, Very nice work Biggles!

Cheers
