We usually meet once a month at one of four sites in S.E. Michigan:

Heritage Park in Canton
Heritage Park (!) in Taylor
The old hatchery, Pond 2, Lewis Emery Park, in Hillsdale
West Bloomfield Aquatic Center

2013 Calendar:

During the cold months, we meet indoors at Nankin Hobbies in Farmington, 9 Mile & Farmington Road... 2nd Saturday each month, start at 1pm.

During the warmer months, we rotate between the above-mentioned ponds... usually the 2nd Saturday... usually 11-noonish start, we're easy!

Figures there is a club 15 miles from where I JUST MOVED FROM I literally moved across the state to 15 minutes from lake michigan. Do you happen to know of any clubs in my area? Between South Haven and Kalamazoo. If I am ever in the area, I will give you guys a shout!

The Liberty Fest in Canton is scheduled for June 16th. That's a Saturday. We should start about 11 am and continue to about 4 pm. We will have a tent and chairs and tables. We will also have food and soft drinks. AP

Calendar update! Confirmed May 12 2012, West Bloomfield Aquatic Center

I attended the Great Lakes Nautical Society's Model Boat Show at the Great Lakes Maritime Center in Port Huron today. Another fun event at a great location, right on the St. Clair River. I ran into fellow club member Steve Brown and his wife, from Traverse City, who brought down one of his boats. Our club was well represented as, between the two of us, we picked up 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the General Maritime (Non-Great Lakes) division. Unfortunately, my wife was out of town with my camera, so no pictures. Steve's wife took some pictures which I hope will be posted here or in the Fun Run thread. I encouraged the guys in the Great Lakes club to post some Pics as well, so maybe they will come through also.

I attended the St. Louis Admirals Regatta on Saturday and Sunday. Had a good time and reported out here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...5#post22896910. The new venue in Forest Park is really nice. I would highly recommend attending next year.
