AR6335 Horizon Stupidity

So i haven't been able to get my AR6335 to work properly. After much testing i found Horizon/Spektrum puts the pos leg on the right pin vs in the center like all the other Rx's for their servo plugs . What Stupidity!!!!!!
You didnt buy this seperatley to replace one. You bought it to put in a homebuilt plane. Where is the literature that says this about non conforming pin outs?? No where.

I cant believe their stupidity What shoudl be an easy transition is nothing but frustration.

Shame on you Horizon/Spektrum Shame on you

I found very little people use this rx I think i now know why.

It is the stabilized version of the ar6310 which always had JST-ZHR connector. They have an adapter to connect regular servos which re-order the polarity:

All servos and ESC with that plug have the proper polarity!

Like they weren't already charging too much for the brick,
now they want even more to fix the pinout issue

That' s what got me on this. I had some old jst zh connectors and i just couldnt get it to work. You have to buy theres at $5 a piece to get it to work. I see china has them for 20/$6 on ebay and i will need to move some pins. (thats what i did and it works just fine now -- lucky it didnt fry the board--or is that the idea?)

I hope anyone considering this rx sees the scam job they are pulling and gets the connectors from china. $5 for 1 versus 20/$6 hmmmmmm (even a note on how you are gong to have to buy $20 worth of connectors to make this work would have been appreciated.)

Couldnt they just try to make it easy.

That is the problem here...just trying to make a buck rather than doing whats right. Very shortsighted. What's better this thread or one that says how great they are for helping out the hobbyist?

...ok, I just did up four 2030 servos on the weekend, changing them from shr to zhr connectors so I could use them with the 6335.
I was told the wire color coding was the same, so soldered color to color.
...was this right or wrong?

Not sure about your connectors as i have seen diff mfg use diff color wiring. But

The pinout is with rx standing up prog plug in upper left corner

signal ground positive

yes odd i know

So whatever color wire this is what it wants.

Should be Ok color to color since both are from Spektrum:
http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...ID=SPMSA2030LO
It doesn't hurt to double check before powering-up, or at least test with only one servo first
Seems that peculiar servo has a 30/70 offset for aileron differencial, might be a problem on rudder and elevator!
Quote from Spektrum:
The 2.3-gram Linear Long Throw Offset Servo is a special use servo designed for modelers without computer transmitters who would like to add aileron differential to their ultra micro aircraft. It comes programmed with a 70/30 offset from center and can be used with any Spektrum AR6400-series receiver.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I have the offset thing covered, just concerned with my connections corresponding to the pin assignments. Guess we'll see.
But I have to agree to some extent about the 6335, they could have done much better on some levels. Never was a spektrum fanboy, and less so now.

Edit:Turns out color matching works in this case.
