Can you put a option price for metal / stainless steel gold finish. I would like to sharpen and shape the props. Currently we can only order in frosted plastic or is shape ways limiting the material choice? Gold will be easy color to monitor the prop ride as well.

I restricted the material. Metals don't go this thin and the detail would be really bad.

I know my hands are a little big but come on! Here are the 12mm props. I'm honestly inpressed with the way they came out. Now they just need to be tested.

those do look very good Kev, great job! are you thinking these will work for 6-7mm motors?

They should work well for the 6mm and 7mm motors. I'm not sure if they will catch grip with the 84.mm motors though. That's why I made three bladers too. I'll have to reduce the bore for the 6mm motors though. These and a 6mm would actually be ideal for a direct drive submerged setup.

I bought a batch of 10 mm props from Shapeways a while back. Three blades, black and white, clockwise and anti-clockwise, ten of each on a tree. They cost very little.

The one in the picture of my small boat is 10 mm.

But isn't a racing prop. Plus that one has flat blades which wouldn't be as effective.

I noticed the flat blades but when I tried it the little thing impressed me.

I'd still like to make a 10 mm folding prop for a sailboat but right now I'm fooling around with music and putting together a book of tunes to learn. I guess the little three bladed one will have to do for now. A huge drag on a tiny boat. Fortunately any wind will be wildly out of proportion so the prop should not matter too much.

When the house gets a little less cluttered it's back to building stuff.
