FBL Tuning Demystified?
As one who is new to user programable FBL units I have read well over a thousand post in the past couple of weeks and still feel I understand less than I should. I have managed to get both a Blade 400 and 450 flying well enough for my limited abilities which includes FFF , piros, and flip in all four directions.
While searching I found this article on the Thunder Tiger USA site which IMO is the clearest explanations as to how the different settings function.

A of my observations to date:
Setting a reduced D/R in the Trans. does not in fact reduce the servos max. travel which is in fact determined in the FBL unit's setting but does reduce the speed of the servo's travel. This was a real surprise to me but has been confirmed by 2Doggs.
I have read conflicts reports about Trans. trims . Some say it is OK while others say it confuses the FBL gyro. 2Doggs suggest using Normal mode for spooling up with No Trims set in it and then switching to other flight modes which can have trims set in them. This keeps the Gyro from seeing trims when being initiliazed.
