Warbird Storage and Transport

This is a thread to share pics of how we all store, display, bench and/or transport our planes. I see these discussions often, and have also seen some very creative methods. It's not always easy fitting large birds in small spaces, so hopefully this will take off and showcase some great ideas.

Here's a pic from about a year ago. Things are a little "thinner" some planes have been some sold and many of my planes are in storage so my basement looks less cluttered for potential buyers. Anyone want to by a nice home in NH? I hope to have less cluttered look with my new home.

Looks impressive, Dora...I am restricted for space because I have to keep mine high enough the dogs can't reach them. I have a few just hanging around, and my little Champ still doesn't have a spot yet.

These pics were taken last spring, I do have a few more additions in the hangar since then.
I'm currently working on my new 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer to transport some of my planes, generator, charging setup etc to the field this year.

I like the pvc, this may be a good way to get my micros in a better spot. I used 1/2 inch pvc for my plane stand, with the fuzzy part of stick - on velcro on the arms.

Thanks. Did you see the Corsair on the FMS 190 wing?

I have always loved Alfa models...

Now THAT'S a Hangar! Speaking of which, I hang all the big birds from the ceiling, and the micros are in their boxes stacked in front of my guitar amp, and the pieces/parts planes are stacked against the wall out-of-the-way. Charger is on my desk, batteries have their own fireproof strongbox. Oh yeah, the Bixler and the 800mm Hellcat are on top of my guitar amp...not a lotta room to move here...wouldn't have it any other way! Hoarder? Maybe, but I reckon I could be spending the money on MUCH worse things than airplanes and helicopters and quads and static models....hmm...

Dora what rack is that? I like it a lot -- where'd you pick it up and what kind is it?

I see it now

What is with the fin on that FMS FW190 - it looks like it belongs on a ME-262 Or is it just the lighting/shadows?

I made a stand today for my micros, now I can tuck them away and take up much less shelf space.
