Mega Tech Airstrike

Does anybody have an opinion on the Mega Tech Airstrike? I have an Aerobird now and I'm looking for something with a little more control.

I agree. Stay away from it. A friend of mine had it and we called it the Groundstrike!

Jakey:

Run a search on "Airstrike" or "Groundstrike." I recall quite a few informative threads.

Stay far far far far away from it!!!!! Please for the love of god, don't spend your hard earned cash on it!!!

This is talking from personal experiance with the exact same plane, but just under a different label.

Jakey,

You should thank all the good people who responded to your question and saved you from throwing $200 into the toilet.

Do not buy the Airstrike. Your money will be wasted.

If you want more control for your A bird move the control line
on the tail down to a lower hole and get a meat packing tray and cut out a piece double the size of the control surface.
Tape it on with packing tape and now you will have much more response. They make a hop up kit that has a bigger tail and a battery with one more cell.

Buy a GWS product. You'll be very very happy.

Not all GWS products are worth buying. Buy a slowstick, because it is durable, excellent trainer and pretty cheap. It will loop and loop and loop without folding the wing

In my views the only planes worth buying are slowstick, and from what I hear a tiger moth.

I wouldn't add the Spit and the 109 to this list. They are great planes (I have the Spit, and it seems like 109 gets great reviews too), but there are NOT beginner planes even though they are relatively stable. The SS and the TM are the most popular (and rightly so) among beginners, but the Pico Cub and the various other GWS "sticks" are a good first step into RC too.

The bottom line is, STAY AWAY FROM MEGATECH!!!! Especially from their "ready-to-fly" products ("ready-to-crash").
