Next plane

I've flown 3 channel park flyer setups for a few years now and want to step up...

Here are a few planes I'm looking at:

UMX Carbon Cub SS
AirField RC 55" Sky Trainer Upgrade Version
Flyzone Sensi EP Trainer
Apprentice 15e

I like the Sensi as its big and has some beef to it so it can be flown in moderate wind and seems to be very forgiving

I have a DX5e which came with my radian so prices will be cheaper depending whats offered...

Sounds pretty good to me. If you can afford it, I think the best trainer made is the E-Flite Apprentice. I still fly mine.

I'm biased towards the Apprentice, too. But that's because she was my first. The Sensei looks nice, too. Plus it has a bomb bay or something!

We have 2 of the Sensei planes at our club for buddy trainers. I had an Apprentice a while ago and they are very similar to fly.

Asking Sensi owners since I can only go off videos:

How's it far in moderate winds (10mph+)? How does the power station fair? Plenty of juice for the size of the plane?

If I were to get it what are some main issues with the design? like linkages and maybe potentially some reinforcements in places?

Parkzone Trojan. Navy colors (my personal preference).

some folks on the sensei thread were saying they felt it was underpowered. mine doesn't feel like that. my field is always windy unless its 7am. in 10+ mph it needs about 70-80% throttle.
my only issue with it is landings and thats my deficiency rather than the plane's. it is a floater so it likes its space when landing. i taped the cowl and wingtips but didn't damage either. i am worried about my nose landing gear which gets a slight bend thanks to my terrible landings. that was also one of the reasons i chose this plane while doing my research. i had read some folks complaining about the strength of the apprentice nosegear. not sure if that is a major issue - apprentice owners could answer that.

The Apprentice nose gear issue was resolved long ago. i saw a Youtube vid of them testing it. Oh, the horror! Nosediving it into concrete again and again! I think the whole firewall finally gave, but the nose gear was still attached.

The Trojan is a great model and very stable for a warbird, but remember he has never flown aileron before. Although he has a few years experience so would likely handle it ok.

an AXN is a great aileron trainer, as is the apprentice or a Piper J3 Cub 1400mm EPO.
