The gyro menu took 2 videos to cover. It can be as SIMPLE as you want or super complicated... I say KISS (Keep it simple stupid) but I spent the time to cover every aspect of understanding HOW the gyro menu works and what it means to TRUE gain to your gyro. Again if something was not clear.... Let me know!

Mike,

I'm trying to use the telemetry in a 33% airplane but I'm having some problems.

Because all the wires from the sensors are too short I had to install the sensor station at the motor box. The problem is that the distance from the sensor station to the receiver is more than 40in and the data signal does not reach the receiver.

Is there any solution for this?

Tks

""Agreed. The stock length of the RPM leads are supposed to be longer on the next batch but extensions are needed in many cases although this should help. Temp leads can become inaccurate (I've been told) if they get much longer but I don't know to what extent. There is an extension offered here that would work with the RPM sensors for now: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=SPMA2001
Thanks for the input. - Mike.""

In case Horizon as usual blocks direct link = SPMA2001 6-inch Ultra Micro Extension

hi alan!

wondered if hitec has a "list" of connector types it uses in the A9, op rx's, telem system, etc... sure would be nice to know what they are, not having a lot of experience with the diff. types. or maybe just send me to the info elsewhere would be great too!

i usually make up my own extensions length specific to my install.

thanks!

Im installing my new multitask F3B sailplane. Planning to use an Optima 7 receiver and digital servos.
The question is my fuse is very narrow, can I put the antenna alongside in the interior of the front part of the fuse? There is a strip of carbon fiber for reinforcement narrow but in the longitudinal axis.
Is the Optima adequate for this type of model, my Optima 9 does not fit in the fuse.
If anyone have ideas I really appreciate some help.
Regards
Jorge

Personally I do not hesitate to use the 7, where no extra channels are required, in all my models. Best if the short wire tip of the antenna can be placed at an angle to the C/F strip, prefereably poked outside the fuse and definitely outside the fuse if C/F is close - always range check (section 5) which will reveal if any problems likely.

It performed better than the Futaba FASST, the Airtronics, the XPS and the JR low end receivers. It performed at least as good as my reference receiver, the JR AR7000."

. Optima Transceiver (RX) - BODA Antenna explained - as good, arguably better than a two antenna system.

I found a 2 cell 15c 1300mah pack that I think will work great.. The size seems correct.. I love this radio, but I spend a ton of time fine-tuning and flying..The stock pack only gets me threw a morning of flying.. Hitec needs to upgrade the A9 to a Lipoli..

Ps... Love the throttle curve tuning.., and the expo is fine as long as you add app. 10%-12% more than your last radio.. I ended up going from
75% to 85%
